About us
The Department of Medical Technology was established in 1966. In 2004, the graduate program was established. In order to promote research competitiveness and the trend towards biotechnology in the life sciences, the department was renamed from 'Medical Technology' to 'Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology' in 2005. The curriculum has been re-designed to meet the requirements of different fields and hence, students can be trained in a multi-disciplinary outlook in the field of medical technology and biotechnology. The department has not only retained the original features that have long been established, but has also developed the integration of the different fields of modern biotechnology.
